Shane Adamson, LCSW, CSAT

Shane is the Founder of LCAP. Shane received his undergraduate degree in Family Science.  He completed a dual track masters degree in clinical and administrative Social Work from the University of Utah in 1995. Shane has worked in both public and private mental health agencies.  He has worked in private practice for over 20 years.  He specializes in sexual health and addressing problematic sexual behavior as well as marriage counseling.  He believes that some of the greatest happiness life has to offer is through developing healthy family and marriage relationships.   Shane observes many amazing things happen in therapy and consequently he believes in the power of therapy to make a difference for good.  Shane is the clinic director at CMFC Dallas, where they implement the LifeSTAR model.  When Shane is not working, he enjoys outings with his family, relaxing with a good book or movie, and volunteering within his church and community.

Ray Butler, MSEE

Dallas, TX

Ray is the co-chair of the LCAP 2019 conference.  Trained in electrical engineering with a career in wireless telecommunications, Ray holds a Masters Degree in Electrical Engineering from New York University and a BSEE from Brigham Young University.  He recently served for 4 years leading a church-sponsored recovery support group for men who struggle with pornography and sexual addiction.  Ray is passionate about educating Texans on the dangers and risks associated with pornography; central to this mission is sharing information about the many tools and resources that are available to help protect each of us and especially our youth.  Having seen the devastating effects of pornography on families, marriages, individuals and careers, he is determined to help stem the tide through education, and through helping to connect those in need with resources for hope and healing.  He lives in the Dallas area.  Ray and his wife Mary Alice are in their 40th year of marriage, and enjoy most of all being with their 6 kids and 11 grandkids.

Kristen A. Jenson

Washington

Kristen is the keynote speaker for the 2019 conference. She wrote the best-sellers Good Pictures Bad Pictures: Porn-Proofing Today’s Young Kids and Good Pictures Bad Pictures Jr.: A Simple Plan to Protect Young Minds. Kristen is the founder of ProtectYoungMinds.org, a website dedicated to helping parents empower their kids to resist and reject pornography. A popular guest on radio, TV broadcasts, podcasts and webinars, she is a leader in the Safeguard Alliance of the National Coalition to End Sexual Exploitation. Kristen has testified before the Washington State Senate Law and Justice Committee on the public health crisis of pornography and continues to be a strong voice for protecting children from all forms of sexual exploitation. Kristen is the mother of two daughters and a son who is waiting for her in heaven. Her latest honor is becoming a grandma! She lives with her husband and sassy Schnoodle puppy in the beautiful state of Washington. Kristen earned a B.A. in English Literature and an M.A. in Organizational Communication.

Jody VanDrimmelen, BSW, MSW, LMSW, LCSW

Dallas, TX

Jody has a Master’s degree in Social Work and is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker.  She interned with Alliance for Children while working with abused children and Cook Children’s Hospital in the Psych department and has a private practice working as Child and Family Therapist in Arlington and Plano.  Shortly after opening her private practice in 2012 she found many of her clients and their families were being destroyed by pornography addiction.  She has helped with the LCAP conferences in Dallas the past 3 years and continues to work to educate the community and work to restore families affected by pornography addiction.

Gina Kaye, M.Ed.

Austin, TX

Gina was the Chair of the LCAP 2018 Conference. Trained in public health and prevention models, Gina holds a Masters in Health Education from the University of Texas. She is on a mission to educate about addiction, trauma, and abuse and connect others to treatment and recovery resources. Gina is especially intent on illuminating the realities of porn/sex addiction, betrayal trauma, narcissistic abuse, and spiritual abuse while also enhancing healthy sexuality, relationships, and authentic spirituality. She lives in Austin, TX where she is a single mom and enjoying the best Austin has to offer. Gina maintains memberships with TAAP (Texas Association of Addiction Professionals) and SASH (Society for the Advancement of Sexual Health).

Becca Janzen

Dallas, TX

Becca joined the LCAP conference planning team back in 2013. She is a stay at home mom with 4 young children. Becca has enjoyed volunteering her time to such a worthy cause of protecting our homes and community from the devastating effects of pornography. She is not a professional counselor, but does believe in the importance of spreading this message and gladly volunteers her time to do so.

Dina Alexander

San Antonio, TX

Dina Alexander is the founder and president of Educate and Empower Kids, an organization determined to strengthen families by teaching digital citizenship, media literacy, and healthy sexuality education—including education about the dangers of online porn. She is the creator of How to Talk to Your Kids About Pornography and the 30 Days of Sex Talks and 30 Days to a Stronger Child programs. She received her master’s degree in recreation therapy from the University of Utah and her bachelors from Brigham Young University. She is an amazing mom and loves spending time with her husband and three kids.

Beau Abdulla

Beau Abdulla began Love People Not Pixels (LPNP) in 2016 as a response to the freedom, restoration and healing from sexual addiction that he experienced his own life. LPNP exists to normalize conversations about viewing pornography in order to make the entire subject less shameful, less avoided and less secretive in families and relationships. Beau knows the pain of sexual addiction. He knows the damage, the frustration, the shame and the loneliness it can bring. He knows the damage it can do to spouses, partners, family and friends. But he also knows about healing and grace. He knows what the “other side” of addiction looks like. He knows victory and he knows there is hope! He has been married to his wife Staci for 16 years. They have 11 year old boy / girl twins and call Houston home.

Lupe Naomi Padilla-Arenivar, B.S. Ed., M.A. Ed

Austin, TX

Lupe was an educator for more than fifteen years, teaching everything from pre-K to college. Her students have been infants and toddlers with special needs, kindergarteners, middle schoolers, high schoolers, college freshmen, and even moms learning a second language. She loves teaching and believes knowledge is power. 

Lupe got involved with LCAP because this powerful "new drug" had a negatively profound impact on the life of her family. She and her son have experienced the heartbreaking task of trying to pick up the pieces of a shattered life. She continues to push on through the devastation, betrayal, abandonment and grief this terrible addiction leaves in it's wake. Her hope is that being a part of this organization will spare other families  heartache.

Heidi Lamarche

Austin, TX

Heidi has a Finance degree from Brigham Young University. She is happily married to BJ and they are the proud parents of 9 children. The children are all theirs, no adoptions and no twins. Heidi believes we live in a world where everyone is negatively effected by pornography. LCAP provides a safe place to gain knowledge. When we have knowledge, it gives us hope and strength to overcome those negative effects and prevent serious pornography problems. This is why she passionately volunteers her time with LCAP.
